Wick’s Estate Opens Its Doors For Winter Reds (This Only Happens Once A Year!)

Wicks Estate can appear mysterious and elusive (with good reason), without a cellar door, the only time that the public can visit is during the Winter Reds Festival where they host a packed event at their winery. In 2018 they’re raising the bar with their Merry Wickmas (Christmas in July) themed day which will include a host of treats.

Be catered to by the highly renowned Gouger St restaurant Concubine who are providing a comprehensive and inclusive winter warmers menu which includes peking duck sliders, crispy chicken wontons, fried chicken wings, curry laksa, braised beef rice bowls and many more options.

Complimenting everything will be a full display of their best and most popular Wines of any variety, we’re talking Sparkling, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Noir, Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon from this family owned and operated winery!

Wicks is quickly getting attention as a standout from the Adelaide Hills, with owners Tim and Simon Wicks alongside winemaker Leigh Ratzmer who are consistently producing highly awarded wines across the range. You would probably recognise Wicks from the Adelaide Fashion Festival who they’ve successfully sponsored for years now!

Entertainment will come in the form of The Happy Leonards who are an Adelaide favourite cover band that’ll be playing all your favourite acoustic rock genre hits in their 4th year at Wicks!

Last year a whopping 1300+ visited over the course of the day but with a licencing for 650 guests at a time it’s best to arrive early since there are no reservations! The Wicks Estate also highly recommend bus bookings for everyones benefit. There will also be family friendly with face painting stations and more.

Don’t miss this one day only event, it might be your only chance to see the winery for a while!
