We all miss the Adelaide Fringe Festival—but pine no longer, because there’s an opportunity to satisfy your festival cravings with one of 2018’s hottest shows, ‘How To Drink Wine Like A Wanker’, complete with a wine tasting!  But be sure to do so quickly, as this is the last last show before Edinburgh.

Anna Thomas’ Fringe event at Treasury 1860 sold out every show during the Adelaide Fringe and has secured another run in Edinburgh, Scotland this August. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world’s leading fringe arts event, which Adelaide mirrors here in the Southern Hemisphere.

This year, Anna, first time performer and wine connoisseur, is uncorking her show once again to give locals a taste of what they may have missed and raise money for her overseas tour—including the freight costs for South Australian wines sampled in the show. ‘How To Drink Wine…’ is her personal blend of comedy, storytelling, and life-lessons, complete with a six-stage tasting. Its delivery is more tasteful and contains deeper notes than the distinctively Aussie title might imply. Certainly beats a meat raffle.

If you didn’t see it in March, now is your chance to get a second taste of the Fringe and support a world ambassador of our local South Australia perspective and produce!

The show picks up where it left off at Treasury 1860 on Flinders Street. The fully-refurbished restaurant and courtyard in the historic Treasury building are surrounded by European styled architecture, so you might just feel like you’re in the grounds of Edinburgh Castle! If you like, stick around for dinner—but you won’t be served haggis here (thank goodness).

The show is this Saturday at 4pm at Treasury 1860. Prices are $25 (or $18 for seniors) and can be purchased through Ticketebo.

Wine wankers (but not exclusively) welcome.
