The Lane Vineyard’s New Terrace Has Serious Summer Vibes

How’s the serenity! Adelaide Hills’ The Lane Vineyard is launching a brand new outdoor entertaining terrace just in time for the summer festive season, and it’s got lazy summer arvo written all over it.

Set over two levels, the graceful entertaining space sits just outside the existing restaurant, with steps gently sloping down following the contours of the vineyards.

The terrace will be open for casual dining and tastings when the cellar door is open, as well as for private events, and offers some pretty impressive sweeping views across the Adelaide Hills:

While the restaurant inside has more formal dining and long lunches, the terrace offers a more casual dining menu, with snacks and substantial cheese and charcuterie plates.

But don’t expect the quality to be any less – the restaurant’s executive chef James Brinklow has designed The Terrace’s menu, which also celebrates his passion for all things local and seasonal ingredients, as well as complementing the characters of The Lane Vineyard’s wines.

The Terrace is the culmination of a vision by stepbrothers Martyn Edwards and Ben Tolstoshev, general managers of The Lane Vineyard. The brothers have continued the evolution of the estate, established by their parents John and Helen Edwards back in 1993.

“We acknowledge that not everyone had time or childcare to enable a long lunch at The Lane, thus we are renowned for hosting those ‘special occasion‘ lunches and intimate events,” said Martyn.

“The Terrace provides a more ‘everyday experience’ and will allow those who want to enjoy great food and wines in a more relaxed setting.”

The Terrace will also be available for private functions from 50 people, and can accommodate up to 400 guests standing, with both food and wine packages available.
