Strongman Jordan “Biggie” Steffens Literally Pulled A Train This Weekend

How did you spend your weekend? Well, at The Mount Barker Family Fun Day the man you may know as “Professional Strongman” holding Australian records attempted to pull a train, literally. Jordan “Biggie” Steffens pulled the 621 steam locomotive. Yes, you heard right, he physically pulled a TRAIN.

How did you spend your weekend? If you were at the Mount Barker Family Fun Day, you would have seen Jordan “Biggie” Steffens pulling the 621 steam locomotive. Yes, you heard right, he physically pulled a TRAIN. He’s a known South Australian Professional Strongman and holds Australian records.

As a part of the SteamRanger Heritage Railway in Mount Barker, the steam locomotive 621 weighs in at 140 ton. I know what you’re thinking – how is this physically possible? Once you see the big man himself in action, you’ll see it is.  This hasn’t been attempted in Australia since 1996 until now – with Jordan successfully achieving this.

This Family Fun Day event was held to raise money for 520’s restoration. The 520 class was designed during World War II by the Chief Mechanical Engineer of South Australian Railways during 1939-1952 F.H Harrison. It’s very special to the Australian Historical Railway Society as well as the SteamRanger Heritage Railway.

Congratulations to Strongman Jordan “Biggie” Steffens for this amazing achievement, but I think we do our weekends a bit differently.

You can donate to the 520 restoration here.
