Mr Goodbar Introduces Saturday Love For Funk, Soul and Hip Hop Lovers

The venue that considers itself a shrine to Saint Amand, the patron saint of bartenders, is hosting Saturday Love nights!

Feeling the love is not uncommon when walking into Mr Goodbar. The Union St bar is a regular haunt and a beloved secret for many visitors.

It’s not hard to see why as upon entry you’re being greeted by Leon, their refined doorman, and you immediately find yourself in a venue that considers itself a shrine to Saint Amand, the patron saint of bartenders.

Of course, in respect of Saint Amand, Mr Goodbar employs a team of award winning staff that are dedicated to giving you an experience thats soulful.

Saturdays will now be Mr Goodbar’s night to give you all things funk, soul and hip hop. Drifting through the air on those evening are the sounds of the seemingly bottomless collection of Mr Goodbar’s resident musicologist, Delta.

Goodbar is described as having a “tongue in cheek quasi-spiritual vibe,” which goes perfectly with their deep south soul atmosphere. Dancing to Diana Ross belting Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, under the glowing light of hands at prayer is the perfect mix of the “best kinds of sin.”

You’re guaranteed music that’ll transport you to the golden years of music cause while known by most as a Hip Hop MC and producer, Delta is recognised worldwide as one of the Southern Hemisphere’s hardest working Diggers of obscure Funk, Soul, Jazz, Disco and Boogie records.

Mr Goodbar can be your weekend haunt with their Saturday Love nights starting this week.

This venue is dance floor friendly, chill, and most importantly it’s a place where you will always feel the soul.
