It Will Be Food Heaven At Bird In Hand During Crush Festival

If you are a seafood lover, don’t we have just the thing for you!? Bird in Hand Winery has announced that they will be putting on an epic seafood degustation lunch during the Crush Festival Weekend in January 2018.

Sure, we get that we still have a hell of a lot to do before 2018 starts… and the fact that Adelaide’s weather can’t seem to make up its damn mind at the moment, does makes it a little bit hard to picture ourselves spending a weekend at a winery stuffing our faces – especially considering we can’t even spend a weekend at the beach yet (hello, it is meant to be summer?!)… But just close your eyes and picture that perfect Adelaide Hills setting: you’re tanned (and it’s real!), you’ve got a glass of rosé in one hand, and a great big prawn in the other. Yum!

Bird in Hand is just one of 38 wineries participating in the Crush Weekend Festival on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of January. They’ll be serving lunch in The Gallery with an extremely special seafood degustation complete with matching wines from the Bird in Hand and Nest Egg range (as well as some rare Museum releases).

Perhaps you’re after a more casual setting and are planning on hitting up a couple of wineries over the weekend,  there is also something a little more up your alley too. Gourmet beef, chicken and vegetarian burgers with fries can be ordered to enjoy on the Bird in Hand lawns with wine served by the glass or bottle along with live music pumping all day. Perfection!

So despite the fact that it is December and everyone is up to their eyeballs in work and holiday season planning, we say there is no harm in thinking ahead and making some January plans as well! Start fulfilling that New Years’ Resolution of being a bit more organised and lock in your plans now.
