Longview Is Bringing Beats, Eats & Art From The Streets This Crush

Watch a local street artist bring a wall to life, feast on wood fired paella and ‘frozato’, and groove to some tunes this Australia Day long weekend at Longview.

We’re a pretty lucky bunch here in Adelaide. This Australia Day long weekend coincides with Crush Festival 2019—which means a loooooong weekend full of wine, food, and music!

And at Longview Vineyard, street art is also on the menu at their Beats + Eats Crush Event.

With DJ Ryley, Matt Sammut, and Faint One bringing the beats, La Dolce Vita bringing the eats, and local artist J2ske bringing the art from the streets, Sunday 27 January looks like it’s going to be one of the coolest places to escape the heat this weekend.

Not only will Longview’s huge collection of graffiti pieces from their Piece Project battles be on display, but J2ske will also be painting live for you to feast your eyes—not just your bellies!

We know feasting for your bellies is important though, so how does a Spanish feast of wood fired paella (with vegetarian options), bocadillo di cerdo (a sanga filled with spit roasted pork stuffed with chorizo and sweet and sour peppers), and sharing plates packed with local goodies (with a Spanish twist, of course) sound? (Hint: amazing.)

A pre-release of the 2016 “THE PIECE” Shiraz will also be available, as well as beers courtesy of Big Shed Brewing.

We’re not sure what we’re more excited about… watching a plain wall come to life with every stroke of J2ske’s, er, paint can, churros with spiced pear and chocolate sauce for dessert, or Longview’s trophy winning Nebbiolo Rosato being served frozen! (Some call it frosé, but Longview call it frozato. Whatever it’s called—count us in!)

WHAT: BEATS + EATS + ART FROM THE STREETS
WHERE: Longview Vineyard
WHEN: Sunday, 27 January—12pm to 6pm
TICKETS: Entry is free! Just bring enough coin to get yourself some of that frozato… and maybe a bowl full of paella.
