The Adelaide business has always maintained a strong charitable ethos and are a long-time supporter of Minda, having donated 50 bridal gowns, along with 20 mother-of-the-bride dresses to the ReStyle Sanctuary in 2016.
Head Designer, Liz Foubert, says “We would love to make this an annual donation, with so many exciting things in the works at Calèche we are strongly looking to the future. Rather than discounting our garments, we value the opportunity to support Minda’s mission.”
This year, Calèche is contributing 19 wedding gowns from past collections as well as two bridal jackets and three flower girl dresses.
“We are passionate about giving back to our local community and are committed to recycling and up-cycling in any capacity we can. Our latest collection, Natural Beauty, is crafted exclusively from recycled and environmentally friendly fabrics,”
The ReStyle Sanctuary is hosting an exclusive fashion event at the Minda Lawns on Wednesday the 29th of November to showcase the generous donation. The garments will be available for sale on the night and to the general public at the op-shop, with all proceeds supporting Minda.
Minda’s Chief Executive Officer, Cathy Miller, says “We’re thrilled the team at Calèche have once again shown their support of South Australians with disability with this glamorous donation to Minda. The iconic fashion house is a long-time supporter of Minda and we look forward to seeing their gowns on the catwalk on Wednesday night.”
Calèche’s latest collections are available for viewing by appointment at 43-45 Chapel Street Norwood. Please visit www.caleche.com.au for all bookings.
