Hains & Co Celebrating Water Of Life With Week Of Whisky Exploration

In true Hains & Co style, World Whisky Day is turning into World Whisky Week – starting May 14 – and will be pulling out all of the stops… (and all of their finest Whisky, of course). Come and celebrate this week of whisky exploration and of course, whisky drinking.

In case you are behind in the trending global Whisky gossip (which is definitely a thing), World Whisky Day falls on the third Saturday of May each year. (But surely you already knew that). It’s a day of global whisky celebration, encouraging everyone to try a dram and celebrate the water of life. Events are taking place all over the globe, including in our beautiful state.

In true Hains & Co style, World Whisky Day is turning into World Whisky Week – starting May 14 – and will be pulling out all of the stops… (and all of their finest Whisky, of course)

This year marks the 25th anniversary of The Balvenie’s ‘Double Wood’ process. Perfected by The Balvenie’s malt master, David Stewart MBE, the process sees the whisky acquire a rich and smooth taste from maturation in two distinct types of wood.

So, to mark the occasion, Hains & Co are serving flights of five differently aged and cask finished Balvenie whiskies all week long. In other words, they are giving us a rich education in all things rich and smooth… and we are not complaining.

But it doesn’t stop there. A night of whisky exploration is also on the cards.

If you’d like to learn more about The Balvenie Single Malt, and why its considered one of the best and most artisan whiskies on the planet, then Hains & Co have a special event with Ross Blainey on Tuesday May15. Blainey is the Australian Brand Ambassador for The Balvenie, so we’re pretty sure he will be able to pass on all the Whisky wisdom in the world.

Ross will take us through an extensive flight of The Balvenie Single Malts, including a celebration of the 12 year old and 17 year old Double Woods, and the rare Tun 1509 Batch 4.

Each whisky will be complimented with a canape devised by our Head Chef, Justin, in collaboration with Ross.

In order to keep this an intimate affair, there are only 14 tickets are available for this event. It will be outdoors, undercover & heated, where smoking will be permitted and cigars available to purchase and pair with your whiskies. So then, be sure to get your tickets ASAP.

Tickets to Ross Blainey presents The Balvenie are available here.

So get ready for a week of whisky exploration (and of course, whisky drinking).
