It’s nearly that time of year again – there aren’t many days until the calendar ticks over to 2019! Here’s our pick of where to eat, drink and party into the new year in Adelaide. 

Feast Yourself

Adelaide Convention Centre – Welcome the new year in grand style at a glittering New Year’s Eve Gala Ball at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Celebrate with a delicious four-course dinner, superb wines, live music and spectacular views of the Adelaide Riverbank fireworks. Tickets are $190 per person. Dress code is black tie, and the gala is 18+.

Coal Cellar And Grill – At the Adelaide Hilton, start your evening with an intimate dinner at Coal Cellar and Grill – an a la carte menu will be available – then continue the celebration through to the countdown with a DJ spinning tunes at The Collins Bar.

InterContinental Adelaide Hotel – Toast to new beginnings at InterContinental Adelaide, with two dining options. 

At Riverside Restaurant, there are two dinner sittings: 6-8.30pm ($95 per adult/$49 per child) or 9pm-late ($129 per adult/$67 per child). Standard and vegan menus available.

At Shiki, enjoy a Japanese menu from 6pm. Price is $245 per adult (including a bottle of NV G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne per couple) or $265 per adult (including a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Champagne per couple)

New Years Eve at Oyster Bar Holdfast Shores Spend the night with Oyster Bar on the Marina Pier overlooking the stunning waters. It is the perfect spot to enjoy local produce with a sneaky drink or two whilst awaiting the fireworks display on the beach come midnight! Booking availability is limited, with reservations available at 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm or 7:30pm. A Casino Royale New Year’s Eve by Stamford Grand  Ring in 2019 with a dry martini in hand at Stamford Grand Adelaide’s Casino Royale New Year’s Eve. The night will begin with a three course dinner menu and premium beverage package followed by live entertainment. Try your luck as they transform the grand ballroom into a high class casino and finish the night off on a high note with the best seats in town to Glenelg’s famous fireworks. 

Rock ‘N’ Roll New Year’s Eve at Stamford Plaza Adelaide  Put on your best dancing shoes for a true 1950s Rock ‘n’ Roll Party. Start with a four-course dinner and five hour beverage package, followed by live entertainment. Seating is at shared tables of 10. Smaller bookings may be placed on a shared table. New Years Eve At Delicatessen This New Year’s Celebrate 1920s style at Delicatessen on Waymouth Street. With a three-course menu, a glass of Champagne and a unique party vibe, how can you go wrong! There are prizes for the best dressed table, so bring your most dapper friends. You can even dine with them and then head down to their speakeasy bar for cocktails. New Year’s At Mayfair Hotel You can bring in the new year withFrench champagne or decadent dining (or both) at Mayfair Hotel. Upstairs at Hennessy Rooftop Bar, they will be pouring Perrier Jouet’s Grand Brut by the glass. The party kicks off at 7pm and entry is $69 which includes a glass of Perrier Jouet on arrival, premium canapes, and live music. Entry to the bar is free after 10pm. Downstairs, the Mayflower Restaurant will host a sumptuous New Year’s Eve dinner, with a flexible three- course menu and a glass of Mumm champagne on arrival (plus the hotel’s famous desert trolley to finish). Party Central

New Year’s Eve Pink Party At The Highway Let The Highway colour your night with everything pink including pink gin, pink cocktails, rose, pink champagne and pink beer! There’s DJ entertainment from 6pm until the early hours of the New Year plus there’s a pink $1,000 balloon drop at midnight, with chances for everyone to pocket some (pink $5) cash! BBQ Buoys on The Torrens Float into 2019 on a BBQ Buoy on the river! Head out for 2 hours of drinks, food, and the best view of the fireworks you could possibly get. Unsurprisingly the midnight slot is booked out, but you can still get in so you’re out there for the 9pm fireworks. Each buoy fits 7-10 people, so grab a group together. Gallery Rooftop New Year’s Eve 2018 Gallery Rooftop will be celebrating the New Year with beverage and food packages as well as all of the canapés, beer and sparking wine you would imagine. Doors open from 6pm and packages are $120pp. DJ’s all night. To book visit their website here

New Year’s Eve At The Ed Can’t find a babysitter? Then the Ed is your best friend for New Year’s. As well as dinner, drinks, and a DJ in the beer garden, there will be a dedicated kids haven in one of the function rooms, with movies, video games, face painter, toys, and board games, all fully supervised with free kids snacks and juice from 5pm until midnight.

Grand Bar’s New Year’s Eve Glow Party  Glow into the New Year at Grand Bar’s Glow Party. A complimentary drink will get your night started and then party all night with drink specials and live DJ entertainment. Glow sticks and white shirts are recommended if you want to glow, with UV paint being provided. Advanced tickets are $25 per person.

Horizon’s Vintage Hollywood New Year’s Eve by Stamford Grand Adelaide Get your glitz on for this New Year’s Eve party. A glamorous Vintage Hollywood cocktail party will be hosted at Horizons Cocktail Lounge. Feel like a celebrity dressed at your most glamorous, and enjoy the delicious food, outstanding cocktails and live entertainment. End the night like a true celebrity with A-class seats to watch the spectacular Glenelg fireworks at midnight.

Pol Roger New Year’s Eve at The Kentish Head to The Kentish for an evening of canapes, grazing and unlimited Pol Roger champagne! The party starts from 8pm. Tickets are $175 + booking fee which includes canapes, a grazing table plus 5 hours of unlimited Pol Roger, premium Yalumba wines and beer. Buy tickets here.

BRKLYN’s House Party For New Year’s Eve, BRKLYN is revisiting the old school house party! The bar will be set up to resemble a house party, complete with red cups, jello shots, cheesy 90s hits, and New York Pizza slices delivered from Bianca. No tickets, entry is free entry – just turn up!

Adelaide Oval – The Adelaide Strikers will again host a New Year’s Eve clash, with the Sydney Thunder coming to Adelaide Oval. Purchase your tickets via Ticketek.

Elder Park – It’s the biggest party in town and it’s all free! Celebrate in the electric atmosphere with entertainment to suit the young and young at heart. It’s the ultimate party with live music, amazing food, a range of beverages, children’s entertainment and of course the show-stopping fireworks.
