For those who haven’t been to a Walmart before, imagine if Coles, Kmart, Officeworks, and AMART Sports all got together one night, had a few too many drinks, and created a baby—that would be Walmart.
The store stocks such a variety of things, it would take us well over our word count to even make a dent in listing their products.
As if our Aussie supermarkets aren’t in enough trouble competing with one another (are you team Coles or team Woolies?), now they’re under siege as Walmart looms closer, Aldi has set up camp for good and continues to secure its clientele, and German supermarket giant Kaufland is also set to open multiple new stores too.
Australia currently has a prosperous economy and our nation is experiencing growth in employment, so it’s the perfect time for international companies to make the move.
We’ll keep you updated as we get new information, but we can guess that by 2020, Australians will have a whole new range of stores to choose from!
