The world’s tallest freestanding inflatable waterslide is back in SA and it has a brand new home by the sea.

The world’s tallest freestanding inflatable waterslide is back in SA and it has a brand new home by the sea.

West Beach Parks (formerly Adelaide Shores) will host The Big Wedgie, a firm favourite with thrill seekers of all ages.

Bigger and better than ever, The Big Wedgie stands 18.2m tall, 82m long and boasts a 55-degree drop with 4 lanes.

Those who fancy something a little less extreme can take on The Just Right Wedgie and young ones can have some splashing good fun on The Little Wedgie.

There will also be a few new surprises for the ultimate adventurers.

The inflatable waterpark will be set up near the West Beach Parks Resort on Military Road.

Those who want to make an afternoon or evening of it can check into a cabin, seek further thrills on Australia’s only aerial adventure park Mega Adventure or enjoy a quiet round of mini-golf.

The Guinness World Record-winning attraction will open on 29 September 2018 for the October school holidays and return in December for a sun and fun-soaked summer.

West Beach Parks Chief Executive Kate Williams said the precinct was delighted to have The Big Wedgie on board.

“It’s been a big year for us and we are excited to add The Big Wedgie waterpark to our offer. It is a local success story and is a very popular attraction that fits perfectly with the other holiday, sport and adventure activities we have here at West Beach.

“Not only is this a great addition for local people, it’s another great reason for people to come stay with us!,” said Kate.

Peter Rimington, owner of The Big Wedgie and Glenelg’s popular entertainment complex, The Beachouse, added: “We are really excited to be bringing The Big Wedgie to West Beach Parks, it’s an entertainment hub and The Big Wedgie will fit right in! With plenty of free car parking, it will be the ultimate destination for a family fun day out”

The Big Wedgie comes back on the Saturday the 29th of September until Sunday the 14th of October. Ticket info here.
