The Zezphyr Quartet is gearing up to release their muchly anticipated music from the acclaimed theatre production, The Aspirations of Daise Morrow by Brink Productions.

The Aspirations of Daise Morrow is Brinks productions based on a Patrick White short story, ‘Down at the Dump’, the original work, which is about to play in Canberra, Melbourne and Woolongong, premiered in Adelaide in 2015 to critical acclaim.

Zephyr Quartet composed the score, soundtrack and performed it live throughout the inaugural season, to the delight of audiences and critics alike. Taking inspiration from lines of the script, themes, characters and landscape, the music is an integral part of the show, but stands alone as a dynamic composition in its own right.

The quartet will release the album, suitably titled Aspirations, with a double show at La Boheme on Sunday April 8th,  with performance at 4 and 7pm. Audiences will be treated to a special performance which will see the group perform their new album live, and they will additionally be joined by acclaimed Adelaide actors Lucy Lehman and Jim Smith as they do short readings from the story upon which the show was based.
