Your Guide To Adelaide’s Venues For Super Bowl LII Game Day


Today is bringing us the excitement of the  Super Bowl LII, where the Pats (New England Patriots, for those uninitiated) will be chasing back-to-back wins adn the Eagles (Philadelphia) will be trying to unseat them to take home their first Super Bowl win ever. It’s also the first time Justin Timberlake has been welcomed back for the half-time show after the infamous 2004 “nipplegate” with Janet Jackson.

Whether you’re a Pats fan, Eagles fan or not a fan at all, these places have got the goods to cure your Mondayitis. So if you’ve managed to get the day off or if you’re down for a boozy lunch break, they’ll have you cheering with their American style food specials and bucket-o-beers.

TGI Fridays – 2015A/297 (Westfield Marion) Diagonal Rd, Oaklands Park

Being that TGI Fridays originated in New York, this place has got what it takes to give you an authentic game day. They’ll be open from 9:30 am just in time to grab their Super Bowl Breakfast Combo – Breaky ‘Blitz’ Burger & Bloody ‘Hail’ Mary $25. All day $8 Corrs pints and are up for grabs as well as $30 Bud Buckets between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. To top off an already impressive game day, they’re having giveaways and prizes throughout the day.

Event Cinemas Marion – Lvl 3 Westfield Marion, 297 Diagonal Rd, Oaklands Park

If BIG and LOUD are two words that appeal to you, then you don’t want to miss the game at Event Cinemas Marion. Starting with pre-entertainment at 9:30am with a seat in front of the Big Screen, BIG and LOUD are definitely in store. Stray from hot wings and burgers and grab yourself a meal deal with popcorn, a hot dog, beer or soft drink, M&Ms and a choc top with your admission, all included in their CHAMPIONSHIP COMBO at $40, $35 if you want to lose the M&Ms and Choc Top, but who would want to do that? The Westy has been sending out serious good vibes with it’s inviting décor. The perfect place to settle in and get cosy with their live viewing of the game in the beer garden. Starting from 9 am, 50c wings & $20 buckets of Budweiser are on hand. Deets here.

The Holdy – 83 Brighton Road, Glenelg

With drink specials all day including a bucket of 4 Miller Chill for $25 and American-style food specials including hot dogs, BBQ cheeseburgers, spicy buffalo wings, pig in a blanket and nachos, we can’t think of a more delicious place to cheer for our favourite team.
Ramsgate Hotel – 328 Seaview Rd, Henley Beach 
Over in Minneapolis at U.S. Bank Stadium, fans may be catching some crisp cold air, but you won’t have to with The Rammy taking care of game day. Head down to Henley beach and stare at their big screen with your wide eyes. You can enjoy $5 Budweiser ALL GAME. Open from 9am, pick something from their Super Bowl breakfast menu or go for their famous Buffalo Wings on offer for 50c a piece throughout the game. Sporty’s Arena + Bar – Arkaba Hotel, 150 Glen Osmond Rd, Fullarton

The Arkaba knows the way to your heart, with doors open at 8am you can get a FREE Budweiser with your breakfast until 10am. With American style food and $6 for 1 or $20 for 4 Budweiser, ain’t nothin’ going to distract you from the game.
