It’s Easter, and that means one thing. Fantastical, amazing, baked good coming out of Adelaide’s favourite bakeries. So we’ve taken it upon ourselves to rustle you up a list of some Adelaide bakeries who are cornering the market on delicious (and different) Easter treats!

But who has time to look around and figure out who’s got the best Easter sneaky treat? No one. You need to be out EATING those treats. So we’ve taken it upon ourselves to rustle you up a list of some Adelaide bakeries who are cornering the market on delicious (and different) Easter treats!

 1. Bakery On O’Connell – 128 O’Connell St, Nth Adelaide

Cross our hearts and hope to die, the Bakery on O’Connell claims that hot cross buns are better deep fried! They have our attention… Heart shaped fruitless hot cross buns filled with Nutella & topped with White Chocolate or filled with Jam & topped with Chocolate!

2. Jenny’s Bakery – 81 Glen Osmond Rd, Eastwood

HOT CROSS DOUGHNUTS. Need we say more? Okay, well… NUTELLA FILLED HOT CROSS DOUGHNUTS, Better?

3. Kytons Bakery – IGA, Foodland, and 15 Lindsay Ave, Edwardstown

Like a little bit of fruit in your hot cross bun? Yeah, we like to pretend to be healthy too. Kyton’s bakery has provided a little bit of a twist on your standard fruit hot cross bun and upped the game to FruChoc Hot Cross Buns. You can find these beauties in IGA’s and in store!

4. Red Door Bakery –  54 King William Road, Goodwood & 22 Elizabeth Street, Croydon

Shout out to Red Door Bakery for supplying sour dough hot cross buns for a little something different than your standard bun. Special shout out for their sourdough hot dross buns being vegan!

5. Port Elliot Bakery – 31 North Terrace, Pt Elliot

It just tops the bakery list every time we think about it. But this year they’ve truly outdone themselves – Creme. Egg. Doughnuts. We’re so keen, we even wrote about them here!

5. Hennessy at Mayfair – 45 King William Street, Adelaide

It’s not a baked good, but Hennessy have got the alcoholic goods when it comes to Easter treats! Introducing the Bunnytail Cocktail. The cocktail features Kahlua, Frangelico, Sailor Jerry and Chambord all topped with a fairy floss bunny tail, it’ll be available on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the long weekend, and we’re totally there for it!

6. Max Brenner –  277 Rundle St, Adelaide

Max Brenner had us at their warm hot cross buns, but dipping them in chocolate and more sweet treats?! Say no more.

7. Please Say Please –  50 Grenfell St, Adelaide

Adelaide Bakes have delivered the goods to Please Say Please on Grenfell Street – Hot Cross Bun Macarons! Not sure we need to provide anymore info, except to say we reckon these’ll sell out pretty quick!

8. The Beigelrey – Hot Cross Bagels

Hot X Bagels!?!?! It’s happening, get your bagel fix AND your Hot X Bun fix at the same time. These babies are selling like hotcakes though, so best get in early before they sell out for the day!

9. Just Gluten Free – GF Hot X Buns

Never fear Gluten-intolerants of Adelaide, we’ve found an Easter treat just for you with the Just Gluten Free Hot X Buns! You can find these at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Markets on Sundays!

10. Just Bliss Chocolates – Gin & Tonic Easter Eggs & Nutella Egg-Spresso!

11. 3rd by NNQHot X Bun Gin

No words are needed to explain out excitement about this one. We’ve been praying to the gin gods, and seems that NNQ heard our prayers!

12. Electra House Hotel – Eggspresso Martini

We’ve seen eggspressos, we’ve seen Hot Cross Chocolate Bars and Nutella-stuffed Hot Cross Doughnuts. We thought we’d heard of all the Easter-themed treats Adelaide could offer, but we were so wrong. Enter: The Eggspresso Martini!

13. 50SIXONE X Deliveroo – Hot X Bao

Easter – you’re looking better and better erryday. The newest and arguably most delectable creation yet comes through Deliveroo – with the Ferrero Rocher steamed coco bun, that oozes everyone’s favourite chocolate spread – Nutella! Available only through Deliveroo from 26 March to 2 April!

14. 50SIXONE – Hot X Bun Icecream

The dessert extraordinaires at 50SIXONE just keep going – this time with HOT CROSS BUN ICE CREAM. We’re feeling pretty confident that our jeans won’t fit by the end of the weekend!
