Here at Glam Adelaide, we love hearing stories about fellow Adelaidians pushing boundaries and making their mark in the world. And in some exciting news received this morning, there’s a 16-year-old with a buzzing business (literally) that we thought we’d share with you. Introducing Ellie and her Buzz Beauty range.
This South Australian based beauty company focuses on handcrafting fresh and cruelty-free bath and body products. Think soaps, baths bombs, lip balms and body butters. All products are made using high-quality ingredients which do not harm the body or environment, and even better still, there is absolutely no testing on animals.
What began as a business that solely sold to local markets, has now blossomed into the online marketplace and, just recently, a website. An incredible feat for any local business, let alone a business for someone still in high school.
On the search for a last-minute gift for Mother’s Day, Ellie came across a body butter recipe. After months of trial and error, she had acquired enough knowledge to construct recipes from scratch and develop unique skin-loving formulas… and so she did. As almost everything at the time contained beeswax, her business was fittingly called ‘Buzz Beauty.’
Ellie now continues to independently handcraft, package and ship all of her gorgeous products to her customers across South Australia and around the world.
We think Ellie’s products look incredible and that her dedication to making high-quality, cruelty-free, gorgeous smelling products is something to be extremely proud of. Well done, Ellie!
