Accessories are they key ingredient to creating a fabulous look.  A statement necklace can brighten up a simple dress, yet the wrong shoes can massacre almost any outfit.  If you have ever seen running sneakers worn with jeans, you have already seen the power of the wrong accessory in action.

However this Winter you wont have to put a food in the wrong boot, or wrist in the wrong bangle, as South Australian accessory label, Indy C, is giving Glam readers a sneak peak into the latest trends and accessories to help you standout this winter.

GLAMOUR: In 2010, glamour and animal themes are set to clash on catwalks, footpaths and dance floors around oz. While this seasons its all about sequins and studs, winter is taking this trend to a new level, with accessories covered in eyelets, rhinestones, zips and eyelets. To make your accessories more appropriate for everyday use, you may want to choose pieces that tone down the embellishments by using soft neutral colours or distressed fabrics as a base.

ANIMAL: Skins have also returned this winter, with tiger, leopard, snakeskin and feathers set to keep us all wrapped up. However rather than going all out in that skimpy leopard “skin” mini, discover new and surprising ways to go wild- whether it be a giraffe pashmina, feathered belt or snake skin design clutch. Zebra print is the must have design of 2010 and Indy C’s recently launched collection boasts zebra skin bangles and fishnet stockings.

HANDBAGS: The bucket or pouch shape is best for clutches and handbags and this winter will be found with plenty of embellishments and texture.  Long, detachable, over the shoulder straps continue to star- perfect for a night out on the dance floor.

BELTS: High wasted belts in all shapes and sizes are this season’s must have item.  Also embracing glam and animal themes, this winter’s belts will transform drab into fab. Never underestimate the ability of a belt to flatter the figure and ad that extra “wow” factor to an outfit. Indy C’s winter collection features studded bows, elaborate sequins, chains, feathers, snakeskin and tassels.

HEADWARE: There will be no excuse not to keep your head accessorised in 2010. The traditional

scarf, gloves and beret have been modernised with studding and rhinestones, which contrast against the super soft knits. The patterned pashmina is the versatile piece of the season, as a chic addition to your day and warm and shimmering addition to eveningwear.

Despite the dorky name, the “snood” is refusing to go away. The love child of the hoodie and the scarf, the snood was actually a hit with pampered pooches before it graced the catwalk. However it is predicted to be a popular this season, worn as a hood or shoulder wrap.

Headbands and fascinators are again covered in beads, bows, feathers, studs and sequins.

NECKLACES: Bolder is better in Wnter 2010. Statement necklaces are the must have piece, with bib shapes, tassels & draped chains featuring in Indy C’s collection.
