P&O Cruises has revealed a host of new itineraries heading towards the tropical paradise of Papua New Guinea in 2019-2020. With such a stunning location you won’t regret scheduling some time off next year for this trip.

P&O Cruises has revealed a host of new itineraries heading towards the tropical paradise of Papua New Guinea in 2019-2020. Stopping at the gorgeous sites of Alotau, Kitava Island, Rabaul, Kiriwina Island and the Conflict Islands, you won’t regret scheduling some time off next year for this trip.

Visit the Conflict Islands, one of the most reclusive locations in the Coral Sea, which in 2016 P&O became the first cruise line in the world to visit. A haven of pristine white sand beaches, World War II history, lush flora and fauna and the exotic Papua New Guinea Native animals.

This exclusive itinerary aboard the cruise ship Pacific Aria departs from Sydney Harbour in mid-November 2019 visiting the 21 islands around the clear lagoon that hosts one of the most biodiverse reefs in the word.

P&O are also offering alternative programmes to Papua New Guinea from Brisbane, as well as six new one way cruises to and from Singapore, including the highlight trip which is an 18 night Australia and Southeast Asia Discovery cruise departing from Adelaide in March 2019, calling at Port Kelang, Langkawi and Penang (Malaysia) and Phuket (Thailand).

Sture Myrmell, P&O Cruise president wants travellers to have an experience unlike what any other cruise company can offer. Their combination of long duration cruises alongside short getaways are appealing to everyone which mean more people can enjoy them.

“Each year we aim to provide unique shore experiences at the destinations we visit. From traditional cooking classes in Alotau, the capital of Papua New Guinea’s Milne Bay Province to discovering the ancient volcano in Rabaul on Papua New Guinea’s north-easter tip – there is something for everyone to enjoy in Papua New Guinea,” he said.

The 2019-2020 season will cover 136 cruises in total, 64 SeaBreak cruises departing from Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland. Other highlights include their Main Event cruises themed around Australian Open, Christmas, New Year and Australia Day (coming in 2020).
