Hold on to your (race) hats, because we have a really cool announcement to make! For the first time, South Australia’s home of racing, Morphettville Racecourse, together with the Gawler Barossa Jockey Club, will play hosts to a new series of Twilight Racing this January!
Kicking off with the gateway to the Barossa, the stunning Gawler Racecourse will host the first week of the Twilight series on January 13. Morphettville Racecourse will then bring it’s racing A-game to back-up the series with two more weeks of Twilight racing on January 20 and 27.
Glam up and grab your pals to join the thousands that are expected to flock to both Morphettville and Gawler racecourses to experience the Twilight series, which is already tipped as a key highlight on the racing calendar for 2018.
Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club CEO Shane Collins said they were excited to partner with Morphettville on a new initiative to show even more people what racing is all about.
“We hope the Barossa and Gawler communities along with Adelaide will get behind the series and experience four balmy summer evenings at the track with us,” he said.
It will be a day that entertains the kids with exciting free activities for the little ones, whilst the parents and the rest of the punters can enjoy the pop up bars in peace.
“Our December twilight event was a huge success so for anyone looking for something a little different to do with friends and family, it is a fantastic night out” he said.
All tickets to the Twilight series are just $10 at both venues! So why not head on down for a nice day in the sun, with a cocktail to end the January right!
