Longview Vineyard Collect at Sydney Royal Wine Show

2014 RosatoLongview Vineyard’s 2014 ‘Boat Shed’ Nebbiolo Rosato has collected two major awards at the 2015 Macquarie Group Sydney Royal Wine Show – the International Guest Judge Annual Prize and the Rudy Komon Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Best Rose.

International Guest Judge Jane Parkinson waxed poetic about the wine, calling it a perfect combination of head and heart.

Longview is passionate about Nebbiolo. They have been cultivating the Italian ‘King of Grapes’ since the mid-1990s, making their vines some of the oldest in Australia.

Whilst a ‘Riserva’ style is made only in exceptional years, they have known for a long time that it makes a wonderful Rosato and this resounding validation adds a touch of sweetness to a beautifully savoury drink.

The 2015 Macquarie Group Sydney Royal Wine Show attracts around 300 exhibitors in 60 different classes, ensuring for the winners recognition and a valuable opportunity to shine the spotlight on their wines.
