From the original founder of famed vegetarian diner, Two-Bit Villains comes a vegan and gluten-free friendly cafe, Salem Cafe, located on Marion Road in Ascot Park.
Offering a wide variety of sandwiches with a side of house-cut and seasoned crisps. There’s something for literally everyone on this menu; vegans, gluten-free, low fodmap, meat lovers and picky eaters!
For all those with a sweet tooth, a variety of cakes are also on offer, ranging from chocolate peanut pretzel pudding, lemon cream with meringues and orange blossom polenta cake.

There’s also any drink imaginable on offer at Salem to accompany your lunch, from coffee, tea, sodas, smoothies, cold brew matcha, and coming soon, beer and cider!
By “making the most of what nature gave us”, Salem cafe smokes, grills, and slow roasts their plant-based menu to give it a deeper and richer flavour. Best of all, the meats, cheeses and sauces are all made in house!
Check the blackboard and cabinets for the daily specials. But be quick, because the meats take 8-12 hours to cook, sandwiches are only available until sold out! Or if you know EXACTLY what you want, call ahead of time to check if your favourite is still available.
