Two Iconic Wineries Join Forces This Friday For City Cellar Door

Wirra Wirra and Yalumba are heading a mini wine series in the CBD this Friday.

On a Friday night, it’s basically impossible to get out of work and down to one of your favourite wineries before dinner is over. But what if we told you, you don’t even have to leave the city to experience the best of wine country in the CBD. Enter City Cellar Door at National Wine Centre. This week Wirra Wirra will be hosting the evening alongside Yalumba Wines.

We’ve got a soft spot Wirra Wirra. We’ve spent some time down at their cellar door in McLaren Vale where we did a masterclass and checked out Harry’s Deli (ah-mazing!). We also recently did a story on the release of their “Original Blend” Church Block, so when we saw they were popping up at City Cellar Door, we thought this is a great chance for you guys to taste the new release and get a snapshot of what they’re all about.

You’re in for a night of ‘girl power’ though, with Wirra Wirra Winemaker, Kelly Wellington and Yalumba Winemaker, Louisa Rose hosting the masterclasses starting at 5pm (bookings required). With two sessions available of 30-45 minutes each, you’ll get a taste of Wirra Wirra’s award-winning white and red wines, and their brand new release: the 2015 Church Block.

Miss the ‘old Church Block’? Wirra Wirra have you covered with their 2015 Original Blend, which is everything you loved about the old Church Block renamed and revamped.
