Tweet Yourself To A Night At Crown Plaza Adelaide

The power of social media is being harnessed in a quirky competition called ‘Tweet Yourself to a Night at Crowne Plaza Adelaide’.

The competition celebrates Crowne Plaza Adelaide’s opening in April and is based entirely on entries received via Twitter.

Entrants need to follow Crowne Plaza on Twitter and explain why they should win the prize, within Twitter’s 140 character limit. The winner will receive an exclusive stay at the hotel before it opens to the public – for themselves and 11 friends.

Crowne Plaza Adelaide General Manager Brendon Meppem said the competition was an excellent way to generate excitement about the hotel opening.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the creativity of the entries that come through on Twitter,” Mr Meppem said.

“The nature of Twitter means the entries are restricted to 140 characters, so people can be quite ingenious in the way they approach their entry. The winner will also need to tweet about their Crowne Plaza experience during the night of their stay. So we’re really using the power of social media to engage with the public and celebrate our opening.”

The prize is overnight accommodation for twelve people, three course dinner in Redsalt Restaurant and Bar and full buffet breakfast.

Crowne Plaza Adelaide is the city’s newest upscale hotel and the first newly built, internationally branded hotel to open its doors in South Australia in more than 20 years.

Located in the heart of the city on Hindmarsh Square, the hotel is just metres from the Adelaide’s prime tourist attractions, such as shopping precinct Rundle Mall, the restaurants and cafes of Adelaide’s east end, the Clipsal 500 race track and the Adelaide Zoo. It offers 308 rooms and suites.
