Southeast Asian culture will be on display at The Art Gallery of South Australia on Sunday 6 June as part of START at the Gallery.
Children can discover the exciting world of Southeast Asia including art, traditions, food and music inspired by the exhibition, Reflections of the Lotus: The Art of Thailand, Burma, Cambodia and Laos.
The Thai Association of South Australia will also demonstrate the delicate art of fruit and vegetable carving – a precious part of Thai heritage originally designed to enchant royalty to the table.
Children can also marvel at the Thai dancers, who will perform the elegant tradition, with its graceful movements, brilliant colour, soft rhythm and its radiating presence.
