Tom Green Live!! – 2012 Adelaide Fringe

Reviewed: Thursday 15th March 2012

Presented by: A-List Entertainment

Tom Green, educating a handful of Gen Y' s in the front row about how it used to be when he was at schoo,l was something to see.  From telephones and cameras to mathematics, this clever Canadian comedian reminded all of us just how far we've come, and we loved it.

Known for his unpredictable and shock comedy, Green made the most of the audience and what was going on around him.  These unrehearsed and spontaneous moments had the audience wanting more.

While there was significantly more course language than the 'infrequent' description, and subject matter that pushed the boundaries of awkward, Green managed to maintain a genuinely positive and rational, if different, view of the world.  He used his body and face and voice brilliantly to describe a random thought or experience;. His observations are astute, and broken down and pushed in so many unexpected directions.

Fans of the cult movie Freddy Got Fingered were given snippets of what they wanted and even though he seems to have moved beyond that, Green managed to appease them.

While not for the faint hearted (respect to the group of 60-somethings in the second row!), Tom Green Live!! is an hour packed full of manic energy and fun.
