This Adelaide Ice Creamery Has Released Iced Vovo Ice Cream For Australia Day

We’ve got the Vegemite shapes, and the snag and sauce chips, but now Ice Cream connoisseurs St. Louis House of Fine Ice Cream and Dessert is reinventing another Aussie icon.

We’ve got the Vegemite shapes, and the snag and sauce chips, but now Ice Cream connoisseurs St. Louis House of Fine Ice Cream and Dessert is reinventing another Aussie icon for our upcoming Australia Day celebrations – a limited edition Iced Vovo Ice cream!

Now, if you are like me, growing up as a kid these little pink, jam-infused, coconut classics were biscuit gold. They remind me of my Mum stocking up when Coles had a special, lunchbox swaps in the playground and footy game halftime snacks on Saturdays.

The Iced Vovo flavour is like the Ricciuto of biscuits. They have had a long-standing successful career as an Aussie legend, and have now been reinvented for bigger things, but will always be a legend in our hearts.

If you are already a cult follower of the ice cream and dessert giants, then you know you are in for a real treat this Australia Day.  St. Louis House of Fine Ice Cream and Dessert will take your taste buds on a trip down nostalgia lane, with their limited edition flavour.

Jess Gerardis from St Louis, who was the taste tester for this fusion of biscuit and ice cream magic, says, “the ice cream will be served in layers to replicate all the elements of the original. There will be delicious shortbread on the bottom, vanilla ice cream, jam, and strawberry ice cream on the side then topped with coconut shreds.”

If you didn’t think the original Iced Vovo could get any better, I’m sorry my friend you have been mistaken. The creaminess and consistency of St. Louis ice cream and the bang-on elements of the original biscuit have taken combining old with the new to another level.

Brace yourself for a new meme to start circling the net. Name a more iconic Aussie duo than the Iced Vovo and ice cream… I’ll wait.
