Regency Park is fast becoming the brewing heartland of Adelaide. With Cooper’s and the Brewboys just up the road, owner of The Sweet Amber Cafe of Sempahore, Dane Adkins, has left ‘contract brewing’ to establish his own brewspace under the Sweet Amber label.
Most excitingly is the large soda bottles that the brewery will stock. The ‘roadies’ come in 1 and 2 litre take-homes. So we can enjoy the sweet sweet taste of Sweet Amber craft brews in our own homes.
A brick tasting bar, indoor plants and ample bar seating soften up the industrial feel of what is essentially a backyard brewing shed, and local food trucks have been frequently stopping by the car park to give drinkers some nibbles to go along with the cold ones.
The brews are as fresh as you can get, poured directly from the tanks in the brewing shed. Adkins and his team will always be on hand to give you the lowdown on each of the offerings or to guide us beer-lovers through the range with tastings.
If you’re looking to sink some coldies, Sweet Amber Brewing Company is open Thu 12pm–6pm, Fri 12pm–9pm & Sat 12pm–6pm at Unit 5 21–23 Naweena Road, Regency Park. Check out their Facebook page for more info and upcoming events.
