There’s A Very Tasty New Reason To Head Out To Longview Vineyard

Summer is a matter of weeks away, which means lots of long, warm days that are just calling out to be filled with relaxed feasting on local food and wine.

And Longview Vineyard in Macclesfield has welcomed a tasty new addition just in time for the warmer season.

Chef Rob Paglia and his expert team at La Dolce Vita Caterers are joining Longview, for what is looking like a dreamy food and wine pairing.

Just like Longview, La Dolce Vita have a strong reputation within the wedding and events industry, as well as a strong focus on offering fresh, dynamic experiences for their guests and showcasing seasonal produce from local suppliers.

Think Italian and Mediterranean flavours with a focus on simple, quality ingredients to perfectly pair with Longview’s cool-climate wines.

Rob began La Dolce Vita Catering 12 years ago, and the business has close to 600 weddings under their belt. High importance is placed on using sustainable fresh local produce, simple cooking techniques and food that is creative.

“We feel that with all of our experience, Longview is the perfect location to provide a multitude of experiences including a la carte dining, degustations, weddings and corporate events, and live cooking stations,” says Rob.

Every kitchen needs an X-factor and that comes in the form of Alistair Raymond who, while working under La Dolce Vita director Rob, is now exclusively based at Longview. And he has a pretty impressive background, including stints cooking at Noma in Denmark, and Hentley Farm.

Or on Sundays, there’s Longview’s long lunch, Della Casa. From 12-3pm, you can sit back, relax and be fed “the way our Nonna used to do for us!”

At $55 per person, this long lunch includes a shared multi-course meal of traditional and modern Italian appetisers, main dishes and sweets. Hand-made, locally sourced produce and the finest Italian imports are used to create a classic Sunday feast.
