The Wind in the Willows Heads to Adelaide These Spring School Holidays

A family-friendly show is heading to Adelaide Botanical Gardens in the spring school holidays this year.

Australia’s favourite family entertainment The Wind in the Willows is heading to the Adelaide Botanic Garden for the Spring school holidays playing from Saturday 29 September to Sunday 14 October.

Kenneth Grahame’s immortal story of life on the riverbank is a rollicking yet gentle adventure, starring the impulsive, frolicsome and always hilarious Mr. Toad – a favourite with children worldwide. Toad, along with his better-behaved friends, Ratty, Mole, Otter and Badger, as well as the rascally Weasel, are coming to life this spring in Adelaide providing enchanting and lively entertainment for all the family.

This critically acclaimed outdoor theatre production returning from its second sold out season in London’s Kew Gardens, delivers music, songs and lots of laughs. There is fun for young and old as the Head Chief Rabbit transforms all the audience into rabbits with a waggle of the ears, a wiggle of the nose and before they know it, they are on a interactive adventure story. Then it’s time to join in the fun as we follow Toad on the open road, sing along with Ratty’s Ducks Ditty, search for Portly, the little lost Otter in the Wild Wood and above all join the battle to save Toad Hall.

With laughs and surprises for children and adults, this is interactive theatre at its best… so this Spring pack a picnic, pack the kids… and head on down to the Adelaide Botanic Garden.
