The Transatlantics Debut

Transatlantics_PressshotAdelaide exports, The Transatlantics are about to release their self-titled, debut album.

Led by the commanding vocal presence of Tara Lynch and comprising of three horns, two guitars, bass and drums, this eight-piece band has gained a well earned reputation for their high energy shows and continue to create the unrelenting, deep groove that is central to the funk and soul tradition.

After touring most of the country with festivals such as Big Day Out, Parklife, Playground Weekender and Falls Festival as well having shared the stage with greats including Melbourne’s The Bamboos, Fred Wesley, Eddie Bo and Marva Whitney, now The Transatlantics are back on home turf to launch their highly anticipated debut album.

Released through UK institution Freestyle Records, their debut album release marks the next chapter in the band’s journey and features a nice variety of musical offerings including the motown-esque ‘Couldn’t Be Him’ and ‘Turn You Loose as well as Marva Whitney’s ‘Thing’s Gotta Get Better’ and an intriguing version of The Presets’ ‘Talk Like That’.
