Two of the best things in life – sushi and champagne – have come together to bring you one of the best masterclasses we’ve ever heard of.

There’s nothing better than champagne; the feeling you get as the bubbles pop on your tongue on a warm summer evening, the Friday night after a long week is finally over, surrounded by friends and laughter. It seems to never fail to turn a tension-filled ambience into one filled with euphoria and tranquility. It seems life doesn’t get much better than this.

Cue: sushi. He waltzes through the party dressed in a seaweed suit stuffed to the brim with seemingly dangerous things, like raw fish and wasabi. Sure, he has some tamer friends, filled with tempura prawns and avocado, but deep down they’re all filled with the same white rice. He brings a sense excitement, a sense of mystery, and brings out in you a willingness to try anything.

Electra House’s Sushi and Champagne Dinner/Masterclass: Sushi Bubbles Go! is set to be a night full of fun, bubbles and all the sushi-goodness you can eat.

During the interactive Dinner/Masterclass with Chef Jamie Kang, you’ll learn the fine art of sushi paired with an introduction to Champagne hosted by Steve Dundon. With classy as all hell wines showcasing sparkling wines from Sidewood Estate including the 2011 Late Disgorged Isabella Rose (only 200 bottles produced), a pre-release of the 2015 Cassandra Blanc de Blancs (which will be hand disgorged and served without dosage) and Sparkling Wines dating back to 2012, this dinner will set your tastebuds tingling.

With the menu designed to elevate the delicate flavours and balance of sushi, the menu promises to not only excite but ensure guests are given the chance to learn about Sparkling Wine, open bottles using the sabre, and hand-disgorge bottles of sparkling wine in its purest, natural form.
