The Longest Running Bikini Model Search Hits Adelaide This Weekend

Things are heating up this weekend with the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australian Model Search taking place at the Tivoli Function Centre.

If you’ve ever wanted to have a crack at bikini modelling, now might be your chance to get that leg up. Australia’s biggest and longest running bikini model search, the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australian & New Zealand Model Search, is coming to Adelaide. And as you know, we quite often miss out on national gigs so it’s kind of a big deal if you this is your jam.
The Tivoli Function Centre (formerly Tivoli Hotel) will be hosting the South Australian heat of the competition to find the South Australian Finalist. The lucky Adelaide winner will then ascend to compete nationally in Surfers Paradise against 15 other women from around the country. If it all goes according to plan, they’ll be crowned the National Finalist and flown overseas to battle it out in the world finals.
What for you ask?
  • The SA finalist will win flights and accommodation to the Gold Coast to represent our state in the National Finals.
  • The finalist who is crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia 2017 will win an all expenses paid trip to the World Finals representing Australia worth $15,000, modelling portfolio worth $2,500 plus extensive other prizes.

We’re told many of the entrants, finalists and winners have gone on to enjoy careers in modelling, media and entertainment including featuring on numerous magazine covers.

You can cheer on the contestants at the Adelaide heat on Friday 28 April. The night will include two rounds. The first round is “Clubwear”, which we can only imagine to be a mixed bag of interesting outfits and the second round – you guessed it – the bikini round. There are a handful of other categories that entrants can win including, Miss Photogenic, the Wildcard and Crowd Favourite.
DJ Lucky Jnr from Fresh FM 92.7 will be live on the decks throughout the night. There will also be meals from The Tivoli’s front bar including meal specials. If you’re making a night of it, drinks are going cheap for Happy Hour between 7-8pm, cocktails are $10 all night.
While the event is free to attend, it’s recommended you book a table especially if you’re planning on having dinner there. Bookings can be made on 8223 4790 or [email protected]
