The Incredible Emma Hack Set To Open New CBD Art & Wine Bar

Love a wine tour but don’t fancy a trek out of the city? Get around ARTBAR, Adelaide’s newest gallery cross wine bar.

Spring is synonymous for sunshine, good food, good company and of course, wine. Emphasis on the wine. But for a lot of us, finding the time to travel to the picturesque McLaren Vale and the rolling hills of the Barossa for a wine tasting tour extravaganza is hard work.

Enter the perfect solution – ARTBAR, Adelaide’s newest CBD wine bar and gallery combination, opening in November.

We love any opportunity to sip a glass of wine, enjoy the beautiful sunshine and chat with mates. This soon to be open bar located conveniently on Sturt Street in the city gives us all the right reasons to do just that, with the added bonus of soaking in some beautiful art while we are at it.

Here is a quick update on where this soon to be open bar is at. Things are really coming together with fresh paint on the walls, finishings are beginning to take shape and so is the stunning wine list. The team at Astbury Audio are taking care of the sound system making sure that there will be beautiful music to wrap around us while we enjoy a glass of wine. We are looking forward to the monthly feature wineries where we will get the opportunity to taste what they have to offer.

We can not wait for the official opening sometime THIS November! see the latest progress shots below:

The new city ‘cellar door’ will be offering wine tastings from guest wineries from across our great state in a beautiful, redesigned art space from Thursday to Sunday. Each month, a new wine producer will feature at ARTBAR with only their wine offerings available for tasting. On top, the winery in the spotlight will hold a special event to celebrate their feature too.

If you consider yourself a bit of a wine connoisseur, you won’t want to miss the first winery to showcase at ARTBAR, which will be McLaren Vale’s Oliver’s Taranga, who have been around since 1841 (so we guarantee they know their stuff).

Oliver’s Taranga have recently collaborated with renowned artist, Emma Hack to create a bespoke label for their new Sparking Fiano, entitled The Hunt For Mrs Oliver. A bubbly made for a summer feast, the wine will be available at the ARTBAR for exclusive tasting, alongside brilliant artworks on show by Emma Hack and the SA Art Collective, comprising of 108 Emma Hack Art Prize Finalists.

ARTBAR will be open Thursday through to Sunday from 12pm – 7pm, staying open till 9pm during launches and special events.

The official launch date of this oasis of colour and fine wine is expected to be the week beginning on the 6th of November, so stay tuned!

Special thanks goes out to Renew Adelaide and Hindmarsh.
