An Adelaide company is offering gourmet, restaurant quality meals delivered to your door at reasonable prices.
The Clean Kitchen, run by Magill couple Angela Jones and Damian Manov was born from Jones’ desire to order meals to her door which weren’t frozen.
“I am a very busy person. We have several businesses so we were looking for the convenience, maybe not all the time but something we could order when we needed to; and it just wasn’t out there, or fresh,” she said.
Rather than following the same plan as other packaged meal companies, Jones and Manov wanted to create clean eating meal plans, sourcing their ingredients locally.
Clean eating is consuming food in its most natural state, or as close to it as possible and The Clean Kitchen is committed to providing meals cooked from scratch.
“Our meals are prepared fresh and they go out the next day. Things are vacuum sealed so meals will last for the week, despite having the five or seven day meal plan,” Jones said.
The range of meal plans is also growing due to popular demand from The Clean Kitchen’s expanding client base.
The Signature Package provides gourmet, restaurant quality meals for five to seven days and is convenient, healthy and nutritionally balanced.
A Fit Meals plan is for people who go to the gym, watch their diet or are requiring seasonal meals while they are competing.
In the next week, The Clean Kitchen will be launching their weight loss package, which will come in a choice of a 1200 or 1500 calorie package.
Jones said her clients give her feedback on what they want and she tries to cater to everyone’s individual requirements.
“This week, we have two people with nut allergies, three vegetarians, two gluten free and two people who don’t eat lamb or seafood; so we cater to all of them and we don’t double up on meals. We make things especially for them.”
“We cook and send it out the next day so it’s a 24 hour turnaround. We’ve recently had enquiries about regional deliveries so in a few weeks, we will deliver regionally, provided we get a few deliveries,” Jones said.
