Back in 2017 we saw the launch of the now greatly successful Adelaide Remakery. The concept is a unique and great to way to retail quality goods while also reducing waste for a low-cost service! Their recent move (next door to where they used to be) to 18 Young Street in the Adelaide CBD offers them more space to hold heaps of fun workshops that you can join. Attending any of the budget-friendly workshops will teach you all the skills you’ll need to remake and repair your own products– which is definitely something we all need to brush up on! Just make sure you book a spot so you don’t miss out!
These guys also host a stack of cute and crafty events that are suited for all ages including, how to sew, how to create your own paper, and how to crochet– all open for kids. With the increased want and need for things like waste reduction, pre-loved goods, and ethical fashion, The Adelaide Remakery is a fantastic way to sustain and restore your favourite pieces to their original state and prolong their life!
The Adelaide Remakery is also looking forward to being part of SALA this year and are excited to welcome a few new friends to their organisation, including Sarah Jane Cook (roustabout art) and The Mad Tailor, so head on over to the store sometime soon to meet them!
So whether you’re looking to restore the life of something in your wardrobe, or you just want to brush up on your sewing skills, this is the best place to go in Adelaide. Make sure you give them a follow on Facebook or Instagram if you want to keep up to date with their workshops or their cute and quirky stuff!
