The Adelaide Hills Lands Itself A South Aussie Gin & Spirits Distillery Bar

At the 1857 Distillery Bar, you’ll find the best selection of spirits, all made in South Australia, proudly by South Australian distilleries.

What comes to mind when you think of South Australia? Fruchocs? Frog cakes? The big rocking horse? While these things are heaps good, Inglewood Inn think that our gins, whiskeys, vodkas and liqueurs are heaps better.

So much better that the Inglewood Inn has decided to dedicate their bar to them.

At the 1857 Distillery Bar, you’ll find the best selection of spirits, all made in South Australia, proudly by South Australian distilleries.

Located in the Adelaide Hills, and just a short 30 minute drive from the CBD, the Inglewood Inn was built in 1857 and is proudly one of the few places in the world where the township was named after the pub.

In recent years it has undone extensive renovations, adding a balcony restaurant and beer deck with panoramic views of the rolling Adelaide Hills, 100 year old Elm and Gum trees and the Para River.

It’s a perfect spot to sit back in summer and enjoy and gin and tonic or two.

With over 15 different types of gin available (it’s always rotating), they understand that the decision of what to have can be hard which is why they offer a gin paddle where you can select three different gins with their recommended garnish and choice of mixer.

Not a gin fan? That’s no problem, there’s an extensive cocktail list featuring espresso martinis made with Applewood Espressocello, all SA negronis and crowd pleasers like the ‘Roses are Red” featuring 23rd Street Distillery’s Riverland Rose Vodka and fresh strawberries.

The Inglewood Inn is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, enjoy a cocktail with a meal or have a Sunday session on the deck and go on a journey to find your favourite gin.
