Listen up beach lovers/pop-up bar lovers – which I am assuming is all of us! We have some exciting news for you, are you ready?
Christies Beach is launching “Summer at Christies” pop-up bar this summer! Running from December to February the bar is open to the public from this Friday the 15th of December at 12pm until late, located on the Corner Esplanade and Beach Road at Christies Beach.
Think cool 70’s Miami Beach vibe with today’s latest tunes played by some of SA’s coolest DJ’s while you sip cocktails at sunset. Outdoor eateries and bar areas will transform the Christies Beach foreshore along the footpath and boardwalk areas at the corner of Esplanade and Beach Road.
While you’re down there, there’s also heaps of brilliant local businesses in the area to explore as well, including Finniss River Vineyard, Cellar Door and Bar; Viscous Coffee; NINE 50 Restaurant and Bar; and The Espy Bakehouse.
A joint initiative of the Onkaparinga City Council and the team from Australian Trade Alliance, this new venture aims to attract a fun and family friendly vibe.
Onkaparinga Mayor, Lorraine Rosenberg, said that Council is very happy to partner with Australian Trade Alliance to activate one of the most beautiful and accessible beach front areas in Adelaide.
“Our local community loves their beach. This initiative will offer a new eatery and bar area on a temporary basis over the three months of summer. This will be a family friendly area to enhance the experience for our locals, and also attract visitors and oth er Adelaide families to spend an afternoon or evening at Christies Beach soaking up the atmosphere.”
Now, we can all agree there is nothing better than gorgeous South Australian weather accompanied by delicious beverages at a new pop-up bar. Campari, Aperol, beers, ciders and 23rd St gin… Summer at Christies is the place to be this festive season!
