South Australia’s richest day of racing comes to Allan Scott Park Morphettville Racecourse on Sunday May 8, with Betfair Derby Day, formerly Super Sunday, boasting over $1,300,000 in prize money.
Racing enthusiasts and fashionistas alike will witness future champions of the track this Mother’s Day, with Betfair Derby Day featuring two Group 1 races: The Distinctive Homes Goodwood and the Betfair South Australian Derby, both worth $350,000 per race.
SAJC Chief Executive Officer, Brenton Wilkinson, said that with over $100,000 in prize money to be won with every race, it promises to be a day of prestige and glamour.
“Whilst some hospitality packages have sold out, ladies can still treat their mums to lunch at the Winning Post Restaurant to celebrate Mother’s Day,” Mr Wilkinson said.
“Fashionistas and their friends can don traditional black and white for ‘Derby Day’ and enjoy a day of glamour, fun and fashion in the SAFM Diamond Lounge, enjoying a Jurlique pamper session, fashion parades, and the chance to win a $2,000 diamond necklace, courtesy of Karans of Hyde Park.”
