wattle st 2 copyThis Spring marks the long awaited return of the popular boutique pop-up garden market, Wattle Street Market, located in the heart of the Eastern suburbs.

An eclectic mix of 20-plus stallholders will once again transform the front garden of a Fullarton residence for the first of five markets in the 2014/15 season, on Saturday, September 20 from 9am to 4pm.

Wattle Street Market co-organiser Bec Rodenburg, who is also behind Miss Vintage, says the market has gained a strong following from people both young and old.

“We get a lot of great feedback on market day about the front garden concept and the casual and relaxed atmosphere – both from the stallholders and the market goers, which is great to hear as it’s a balance we work hard to achieve,” Bec said.

With a focus on designer handmade, the September market will feature up-cycled kids clothes, handmade designer dresses, cushions, vintage candles, luxury towels and linen and homewares.

Among the stallholders for the September 20 market are Potted Thoughts, Frock Me Out, Miss Vintage, Luna & Luxe Vintage Soy Candles, Vintage Fox, Collecte, Bonheur Homewares and Mintcloud.

In addition, Coffee Cow, Food Man Chew, Sal’s Masterstock, Poppies of the Glen and Rebecca’s Cakes will keep the hunger at bay, while a kids zone with face painting for a gold coin donation will benefit kids supported by the Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation.
