South Australian Premier’s Food Industry Awards

Mediterranean TableAn opera star, an original dance spectacular, a Mediterranean feast of South Australian produce, outstanding regional wines and the who’s who of the State’s food industry.

Be a part of the annual SA Premier’s Food Industry Awards presentation gala dinner on Friday 5 November 2010 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The gala dinner is the culmination of a high quality entry and judging process and is the night of nights for the State’s diverse food industry and businesses.

Opera singer Mark Vincent, winner of Australia’s Got Talent, will be opening the night and setting the scene for ‘A Mediterranean Table’ – a feature of the gala dinner.

The six course menu has been exclusively designed by Tze Khaw of the Adelaide Convention Centre and uses the best South Australian produce.

“Our State is like the Mediterranean – with its moderate climate, idyllic scenery, fabulous wine and beautiful, fresh produce,” Tze said.

“Angelakis Bros. have offered some of their freshest seafood for the ‘Fishmonger’s Catch of the Day’. It features lovely fresh prawns and oysters, mussels served with salsa, Blue Swimmer Crab royale and Kingfish cheviche.”

Also on the menu is a delectable Rabbit Boudin and a Crusted Salt Bush Lamb; and to finish off, a Pistachio Panacotta served with a strawberry soup and a cheese plate. The food will be matched to fabulous wines from the Langhorne Creek Wine Region and includes several Italian varieties.

Early bird tickets are on sale until 10 September 2010 at http://www.safoodawards.com.au/$150 per person and $1400 for a table of 10.
