Sinclair’s Gully Solo Sessions: Kelly Under the Candlebarks

A magical place, some fabulous Adelaide Hills wine and a very special performance. This is how those in the know will be enjoying their June long weekend.

Sinclair’s Gully will be hosting picnics over the long weekend and with a special pre-release tasting of their new Blanc de Blanc and a return performance of much loved Kelly Pigot, you can be assured you will be in for a fine treat. Bring your picnic and friends and set up amidst the majestic candlebark gums and enjoy some truly outstanding local wines.

After seven years touring and performing as a soloist with the Australian Girls Choir, Kelly Pigot made her professional music debut at Sinclair’s Gully back in 2009. Performing as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Kelly quickly developed a keen following as an emerging new talent. With a return Fringe performance in 2010, Kelly once again wowed her audience with soulful performances which belie her years. Kelly returns to Sinclair’s Gully over the June long weekend with a repertoire developed specifically to nourish the soul. Kelly’s renditions of Hallelujah, Fields of Gold and Nothing Compares To You are certain to be memorable highlights of your weekend.

As the Adelaide Hills only eco-certified cellar door and nine time tourism and landcare winners, Sinclair’s Gully is a venue designed to connect you with your natural heritage. It has also become a unique venue and back drop for some truly talented artists to perform, providing the setting and opportunity for some memorable experiences. Add to this a tasting of some of the best sparkling wines produced in Hills and all of your senses are in for a treat.

Sean Delaney explains “Not many people realise how well placed the Adelaide Hills is to produce outstanding sparkling wines. As a cool climate area, arguably producing the country’s best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it stands to reason we should be producing sensational sparkling wines.” All of our sparkling wines are methode traditionale bottle fermented wines, disgorged and dosaged by hand at cellar door. Over the long weekend we will be selling tasting flights showing people a breadth of styles from young crisp fruit driven styles to more complex developed dryer styles.

So if you are looking to have a “get away” without “going away” this long weekend, treat your self (or your closest friends and family) to a picnic under the candle barks at Sinclair’s Gully.
