Simon Bryant and Artisans of Barossa Showcase Barossa Best

Acclaimed culinary icon Simon Bryant and Artisans of Barossa have combined forces to present a truly Barossa food and wine experience as part of this year’s NAB Barossa Gourmet Weekend 20 –21 August 2011.

This exciting partnership brings together core values shared by the chef and wine producers with the common goal of always letting the produce shine through a balanced culinary event on the plate and in the glass.

Simon Bryant, says that he wants to provide a meal that keeps with the true nature of the values of the Barossa in terms of both dish design and local artisan produce in partnership with Artisans at the NAB Barossa Gourmet Weekend.

“We want visitors to enjoy the amazing flavours that good local produce exudes through simple and honest preparation and cooking, whilst offering value for money as part of this dining experience,” said Simon Bryant.

A range of Artisans of Barossa wines will be matched with Simon Bryant’s menu that has been created to deliver a balanced food and wine experience like no other. Sit back and listen to the acoustic tunes of local entertainers Becky + Damien whilst feasting some of the best food and wine the region has to offer.

Visitors to the winery can choose from a Barossa centric menu to indulge on star anise and ginger poached Berkshire Gold free range pig belly, chilli garlic sauce, soft noodles and greens with sesame, Ballycroft Artisan Cheese Gruth, Kangaroo Island Pure Grain lentils and Four Leaf Millingsoft polenta or chocolate braised Bushmin Rabbit with Barossa Farm Produce free range baconand Four Leaf Milling polenta.

Artisans of Barossa, Operations Manager, Mel Maschio said that the commitment to makinginspirational wines that uphold the culture and the tradition of the region made the partnership with Simon Bryant a perfect fit.

“Both Simon and Artisans have some natural synergies so working together is ideal. We both produce products that excite the senses, inspire and delight,” said Mel Maschio.

Artisans of Barossa believe in maintaining a sense of pride and fun in everything they do and will be one of 25 wineries involved with this year’s NAB Barossa Gourmet Weekend 20 – 21 August 2011, 11.00 am – 5.00 pm.

Less than a one hour drive from Adelaide, Artisans of Barossa welcome visitors to their home in the Barossa at the corner of Magnolia and Light Pass Roads, Vine Vale for the weekend.
