Craving some toasty warm halloumi this winter? No need to worry Adelaide, Glam has got you covered. From the 26th June, you can grab your halloumi in wraps, burgers and more from your local Nandos store.

Aussies across the Nation can now rejoice in the irresistible, squeaky goodness of Nando’s new Halloumi range, launching in all restaurants on Tuesday 26 June. Having caused quite a stir in the UK, fans down under will finally be able to get their hands on this long-awaited menu addition.

Called The Halloumi, the new burger, wrap and pita range is made fresh to order and features the cult favourite, halloumi, paired with Nando’s famous PERi-PERi chicken breast, cos lettuce, caramelised onion relish and creamy aioli. Vegetarians, or those looking for a plant-based option are welcome to substitute chicken for a veggie patty.

Fans can enjoy The Halloumi for just $12, which includes the burger, pita or wrap and a choice of side such as Nando’s famous PERi-PERi chips, garden salad, coleslaw, spicy rice, garlic bread or corn on the cob.

As the first Australian fast casual dining restaurant to add the fan favourite to its menu, The Halloumi range is anticipated to heat up the nation and become a popular winter warmer. Nando’s lovers are encouraged to visit their local restaurant before the highly requested offer finishes on Sunday 22 July.

Hailing from South Africa, Nando’s is well-known for its irresistible flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, but continues to evolve its menu to incorporate favourite flavours from across the globe. The inclusion of halloumi, originating from Cyprus, is set to delight foodies across the country. Nando’s uses quality, fresh ingredients across its menu. Their world-famous flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken is sourced from 100% higher welfare, RSPCA Approved farming schemes and is always fresh, never frozen.

The halloumi craze has already been a huge hit with customers and celebrities alike in the UK. Grime artist, Stormzy tweeted Nando’s UK with his favourite Nando’s hack, saying: “Halloumi cheese and garlic bread is a burger in itself. Need to get that going on the menu @NandosUK”. The music legend was rewarded with a mock Nando’s menu item, the #MERKY Burger filled with halloumi, which swept the UK by Stormzy.

Nando’s is also urging all halloumi fans to join their loyalty program, PERi-Perks, hinting at a potential extension of the in-demand Halloumi range beyond Sunday 22 July. The program is free to join and the brands’ most loyal customers will hear first if there’s an extension of the offer. In addition, they earn one point for every dollar they spend on Nando’s menu items which can be redeemed in restaurant or on Nando’s merch on their website. Members also get exclusive access to monthly menu offers and one-off VIP events.
