Say Bonjour To The Little French Wine Bar

Noorwood, say Bonjour to your newest bar (well, newish).

La Vigne first popped up on The Parade in late 2016, but owner Wil Blanc says the name never quite felt right to him.

Wanting a title that properly reflected the space, he’s now rebranded as The Little French Wine Bar.

Like the new name suggests, it’s the ultimate French drinking spot without having to leave town.

The space has been given a bit of a makeover to reflect a more authentic, gritty French wine bar. Drinks are exclusively French, from wine and beer to liqueurs, and they’ll have live music weekly.

And the thing that has really caught our eye? Head there from 5-7pm Thursday, Friday or Saturday during happy hour(s) and you get a free French cheese board when you buy your first bottle of wine. Other wines are also discounted during that period. We’ll brie there!

Perfect for summer, the sun-drenched beer and wine garden out the back has plenty of space, including a barbecue for patrons to cook on.

And you can even bring the pooch (adorable dog beret optional but definitely encouraged):

For something more substantial to eat, La Madeleine is right next door serving authentic French food including pastries and all-day desserts.

And soon, you’ll be able to order UberEats direct to the bar, so you can enjoy your choice of dinner without having to leave that beautiful bottle of French wine.

The Little French Wine Bar is at 248 The Parade, Norwood. Open Thurs and Fri 5pm-late, and all day Sat and Sun.
