SAW VII 3D scares audiences before it hits cinemas

A couple of scare tactics were employed in Sydney last week to highlight the release of SAW VII 3D, the final chapter of the most successful horror franchise in movie history.  The scare tactics were a strategically placed limb drop and a SAW photo booth surprise, both based on the film tagline “The Traps Come Alive!”  .

For the limb drop, fake severed body parts were deposited at various locations around Sydney to generate responses from the public, whilst hidden cameras captured reactions.

For the photo booth surprise, a SAW themed photo booth was positioned in Hoyts Penrith cinemas offering passers-by free photographs.  Whilst photos were being taken in the booth, SAW costumed staff hiding in the booth burst out to shock booth participants, and reactions were captured in photos and on video.

In SAW VII 3D a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw’s brutal legacy.  A group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror…

The first theatrical feature to be shot exclusively on the cutting-edge SI-3D digital camera system, SAW VII 3D brings the horrifying games of Jigsaw to life like never before.

In 2010 the SAW series of horror films was awarded the most successful horror movie series of all time by Guinness World Records.220px-Saw_3D_Final
