Rivergum Homes Leads The Way In SA With Virtual Reality

Leading South Australian home builder Rivergum Homes has teamed up with Adelaide app creator Ticketyview to deliver prospective homeowners a highlight reel on the home hunting journey.

Virtual reality is here! At least when it comes to buying new South Australian homes with Rivergum Homes. And while some of us might sit and worry about the impending takeover of Skynet and AI, we’re pretty sure that this is the best way to buy homes off the plan.

Leading South Australian home builder Rivergum Homes has teamed up with Adelaide app creator Ticketyview to deliver prospective homeowners a highlight reel on the home hunting journey.

The collaboration of the two SA businesses has created a virtual reality app for smartphones which allows customers to experience Rivergum’s range of home designs in an immersive, 3D setting, from the comfort of their lounge room.

It is the first such app to be developed in South Australia and all customers have to do is download the app, pop on a pair of cardboard goggles and insert their smartphone into the front of the goggles.

Customers can then virtually walk through the display homes, viewing all rooms, features and spaces through the goggles, guided simply by holding their gaze on where they would like to go.

The app, which is available on both Android and Apple platforms, allows users to explore Rivergum’s display homes room by room through the technology of virtual reality.

It can also be used with Google Oculus goggles for a higher quality, more immersive experience.

Rivergum Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Taintey, said the app would give customers a chance to fully immerse themselves in the displays without having to physically visit them.

“This modern technology is perfect for prospective homebuyers who just can’t make it to our display homes, especially those in regional locations who would otherwise have to drive significant distances to our sites,” Mr Taintey said.

“We are committed to helping our customers reach their goal of owning a home and we believe this app gives them a better chance of reaching that goal by bettering their understanding of the home’s design features.

“It’s about providing our customers with a unique way to explore our homes and start to shape their own homes, and their futures.”

Rivergum Homes is a proud South Australian builder, which has been operating for 23 years. The company is the first South Australian based home builder to implement these virtual reality goggles.

This app is in addition to the previously developed Augmented Reality app, which was primarily used for projects to show the scope and detail of a development.

“The virtual reality app allows people to tour Rivergum’s display homes as if you were there,” Ticketyview Managing Director Tim Scott said.

“Rivergum has a wide selection of display homes that are located all around South Australia and this app allows people to virtually visit these great display homes from the comfort of their own home.”

The app is available for download through the Android and Apple stores on the respective smartphones. Goggles can be collected for free from any Rivergum Homes display home.
