brewsAs Adelaide is expanding, so is the boutique craft beer society. Now Adelaide is not only is renowned for its wine, but craft beer too. Big Shed Brewing Concern (BSBC) launched their Adelaide-based brew house last week while also showcasing their range of homemade speciality craft beers. The launch itself was fantastic, with beer and cider lovers all appreciating the unique offering that BSBC is delivering.

Co-founded in 2014 by Jason Harris and Craig Basford, BSBC are the new kids on the block, focused on producing only the highest quality of craft products.

Ranging from craft beers to sparkling cider, BSBC have formulated a collection of delicious beverages to entice all. BSBC currently have six brews available including ‘FrankenBROWN Ale,’ their maiden beer used to christen their brewery, which was recently awarded the 2014 Bronze Medal Winner at the Craft Beer Awards.

BSBC’s brewery is located in Royal Park, with the premise available for other companies to utilize brewing facilities or to be hired out as a function space. Friday and Saturdays see BSBC transform from brewery into bar, as they open their doors to the public to sample their brews with all six now available on tap.

Big Shed Beer is available from many bars around Adelaide and liquor stores, but the whole experience is really at the Big Shed. The Big Shed creates a comfortable environment to sit with friends, drink a beer or cider and relax after a busy working week. There is no ‘behind the scenes’ as everything is right there in sight. There is the long bar displaying their range of beers on tap, their brewery vessels are located behind the bar and you can see where the beer was created, all while sipping on the final product.

Top favourites for the night were the cheekily named Cherry Popper (Cider), F-Yeah (American Pale Ale) and Californicator (Indian Pale Ale). But also get your lips around the other selections, FrankenBROWN (American Brown Ale), Szechuan Pepper (Ale) and Sir Prince Philip (Pale Ale).
