ASAHI Adelaide (180)

The Asahi Super Dry Silver Sessions hit South Australia for the first time at The Lion Hotel last Thursday, November 13th.

On entering the tunnels under The Lion we were greeted with an array of SA oysters, delicious arancini and of course a pint or two of Asahi Super Dry to wash it all down.

Nestled in the corners of the tunnels were bright beacon-like cubes, glowing with the Asahi Logo which helped to create a fantastic and cool atmosphere underground in what was otherwise a sweltering Adelaide night.

After enjoying one or two brews we were greeted by our MC for the night Will Mclachlan who introduced the Silver Sessions – a series of National engaging evenings that aim to inspire consumers.

The first local and inspirational speaker for the evening was Melbourne based Dean Cherny. Dean is an internationally successful DJ, entrepreneur and fashion industry icon. Not only was his speech inspirational, but he showed just how much a kid from Melbourne can achieve with a lot of effort and a little luck.

Alongside Dean was radio host, funny-man and all-round nice guy Tim “Rosso” Ross. Looking up to Rosso as a young entertainer it was fantastic to hear the story of someone so passionate for his work after so many years in the business. Rosso spoke about his success, and his struggles but one thing everyone took away from his talk was his willingness to put in the hard work to succeed.

The Silver Sessions will be retuning in 2015 with discussions of even more talented artists joining the line-up and I look forward to enjoying another inspiring night out all the while enjoying my favourite beverage.
