Reds Stars Kick Start Club Rebate Program

Adelaide UnitedThe Adelaide United Football Club Rebate Program is on again in 2010, providing fantastic value and opportunities for local South Australian clubs to raise funds.

With Adelaide United season tickets for the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 Season going on sale this Thursday, July 2, the club has kicked off its membership drive for season six with players visiting local clubs to promote season tickets and the Club Rebate Program.

The Club Rebate Program gives all South Australian football clubs the opportunity to earn a 20% rebate on all season tickets sold directly through their club during the club rebate period.

The club rebate period will run from Monday 5 July until Friday 13 August 2010.

Star midfielders Paul Reid and Marcos Flores kicked off the program with a visit to Cumberland United Soccer Club, while Lucas Pantelis and Iain Fyfe headed to Para Hills Soccer Club.

Braving the wintry conditions, Reid and Flores watched some of the junior teams in action at training before heading into the clubrooms to meet the kids and sign autographs.

“The club rebate is a fantastic idea and a great way Adelaide United can support local clubs,” Reid said.

Up at Para Hills, Pantelis and Fyfe also saw the local northern club’s juniors go through their paces and spoke to the aspiring youngsters about the importance of training and hard work on the track. The players then moved into the club rooms where the kids were able to get autographs and photos.

Adelaide United players will continue to visit local clubs over the coming weeks as the Reds’ opening match of the season, against the Newcastle Jets on August 6 at Hindmarsh Stadium, draws closer.
