The wonderful guys at Hains & Co have jumped aboard another venture and it is set to open mid-2018.
Offering speciality cigars and whiskey, this new joint is staying loyal to their Gilbert Place roots – in fact, it is just upstairs from their original Gilbert Place venue. Utilising the staircase of Hains & Co, they hope to use their two bars in both a connected and distinct way.
Named after Hains & Co owner Marcus Motteram’s bootlegged grandfather, this additional location has been in the works for some time, with much thought and gathering going into the selection of whiskeys to be on offer.
“Over the last two years we’ve been collecting lots of whiskey and have some really special, beautiful stock that we are really excited to showcase in Adelaide,” says Marcus.

Set to be an intimate location with only around 35 seats, this new offering is looking to bring speciality service along with it, adding yet another cosy venue to the ever expanding group of offerings in Gilbert Place. Watch out Peel & Leigh Street, we’ve got another reason to get excited for the winter months to arrive!
